– Collaborate with management on the formulation and articulation of a long-term business plan for the Archive Office in line with its scope and objectives
– Collaborate with the Content Creation team to establish a blueprint of locations and numbers QF record assets, including classifications that accurately reflect the Foundation’s business processes
– Collaborate with the Content Creation team to develop a system and standards for collection of outside assets pertaining to QF history
– Collaborate with the Archive Office Manager to establish standards for Service Level Agreement (SLAs) for the team’s services
– Provide the manager with budgetary inputs to aid in annual financial planning
– Collaborate with the Archive manager to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the Archive team in meeting established goals and objectives
– Ensure that acquisitions encompass the description and preservation of the permanent records in textual, architectural, photographic, audio/visual, and multimedia formats
– Plan archiving evaluation timelines, context, and questions for appraisal of the archival value of records in order to determine placement in the permanent archives
– Collaborate with IT to identify and implement the best solutions for archive organization and security
– Identify any needs for outsourced partners based on work load and long-term requirements; shortlist vendors and follow procedures for appointment of vendors and modification of contracts; and supervise their work
– Collaborate with the Archive Office Manager, the Special Projects Expert, the Head of Content Creation, and QF Legal to establish formal procedures for managing intellectual property and conditions for access to proprietary records in consultation with legal authorities
– Monitor work to ensure compliance with establish processes
– Review team performance in line with performance management policy. Ensure that the team receives any needed training; motivate and guide employees so that they excel at their work
– Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
– Master’s degree in Archival Studies or a relevant discipline such as Library Science, Information Science, or history, or Middle Eastern Studies
– 8+ years of archival project, archive collection, and cataloguing experience, at least 3 of which in a supervisory role
-Knowledge of and experience using retention and disposal schedules
– Familiarity with institutional and specialized archives
– Knowledge of descriptive content standards and best practices
– Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills
– Excellent time management, strategic planning, and project management skills
– Attention to detail, commitment to quality, flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements
– Excellent writing skills in both English and Arabic with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely
– Proficiency in MS Office applications; Oracle ERP proficiency an advantage
