Please include instructions for how to apply.: The Digital Archivist for Online Programming is primarily responsible for the coordination and dissemination of the division’s education programing for online platforms, including social media and on-demand virtual programming. The archivist supervises the division’s social media accounts and reviews and approves online and on-demand programs. The archivist coordinates the schedule of programming with the Outreach Coordinator/Archives and Records Manager and reports to the Outreach Coordinator on tasks dealing with education and educators. This position is highly collaborative and requires extensive contact with internal and external clients.
Duties include but are not limited to:
-Oversees division social media and online promotional initiatives, including leading the Social Media and Online Programming Committee (SMOC) and its subcommittees for content, analytics, and community engagement.
-Oversees project management for online programming and collaborates with division, departmental, and external partners.
-Researches and identifies appropriate content, images, and media from the State Archives of North Carolina for digital projects based on the priorities as defined by current Archives goals, programs, and initiatives.
-Works with K-12 and collegiate educators to identify and develop content related to the State Archives physical and online collections.
-Manages logistics for events and programs serving K-12 and collegiate educators.
-Writes, edits, and researches blog posts, articles, and other content for publication.
-Contributes to the development and maintenance of the State Archives website.
