Please include instructions for how to apply.: Boatwright Memorial Library at the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia invites applications for a Processing & Reference Archivist (#502378) to join our Book Arts, Archives, & Rare Books team. The University of Richmond is a liberal arts university with a strong focus on teaching and learning that also prioritizes faculty and student research experiences.

The Processing & Reference Archivist will provide efficient processing and effective reference services for the library’s archival and rare book materials. This position will establish physical and intellectual control over the library’s most distinctive collections through archival processing, creating and editing finding aids, and developing descriptions based on established archival policies and procedures. The position is also responsible for the primary staffing of the department’s reading room and assisting with providing reference through in-person and remote requests. The position may also include instruction and outreach as needed. Please note this position works a need-based flex schedule that may require some weekends and evenings.
