This internship offers first-hand experience with development and implementation of museum exhibits. This includes project management, content development, interpretation, design, evaluation, collections care, and installation. This intern will learn about different evaluation methodology, when to use them, and how to analyze and report findings. This intern will work closely with the Michigan History Center’s exhibits, visitor experience, education, and collections departments. This intern will have opportunities to learn about museums, how they work, and what careers are available in the museum field. This position is based at the Michigan History Museum in Lansing, Michigan.

Applicants will be required to submit an application through the State of Michigan job portal and selected applicants will be scheduled for an interview. Successful candidates will be required to submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test as a condition of employment.
