This internship offers first-hand experience with the administration, management, and access to state and local government records. This includes project development and management, modernization of records workflows, and enhancement of access tools. This intern will learn about the many opportunities and challenges facing government records archivists and using professional best practices and methodologies to make incremental improvements. This intern will work closely with the Archives of Michigan’s Services and Collections teams and engage with staff across the Michigan History Center. This intern will have opportunities to learn about archives administration, state and local government records, and reference services. This position is based at the Archives of Michigan in Lansing, Michigan.
